Technical Developer

You provide direction for property projects from a technical and feasibility perspective. You are involved from the initial phase onwards, but your primary role is to steer the process of translating plans into a feasible and workable project. About Reales Reales is a risk-bearing developer that takes on positions itself and sees projects through to completion - from acquisition and business case to construction and handover. We work with a small, close-knit team and have short lines of communication. This means you'll be directly involved in the substance of projects and will have a say in the decisions that are made. We actively focus on business cases, feasibility and lead times, with the aim of actually delivering projects. Our projects are characterised by their scale and complexity: inner-city regeneration, the transformation of existing sites, and area-wide developments involving multiple interests and stakeholders. What are you going to do? As a technical developer, you are responsible for the technical design and feasibility of projects, with a clear focus on the phase leading up to implementation. You will be involved from the initiation phase onwards to help shape the guiding principles, but will then ensure that plans are technically sound and feasible. Your duties will include: • contributing ideas on technical principles and feasibility during the initial phase • translating designs into technically feasible and constructible plans • managing architects, consultants and other stakeholders • focusing on design flexibility, attention to detail and technical quality • assessing design choices in terms of costs, feasibility and risks • coordinate with contractors and implementing parties at an early stage • preparing projects for tender and implementation • ensuring that technical principles are adhered to during further development and implementation You will mainly be working on projects in the design and engineering phase, such as Nieuw Harculo in Zwolle, Pinkelseweg and new projects that are being developed from the tender stage through to implementation. This is you You have strong technical skills and know how to turn a development concept into a project that can be built. • HBO/WO degree in architecture or equivalent • approximately 4-10 years' relevant experience • experience of the design and engineering phases, as well as an affinity for the implementation phase • able to manage design teams and consultants • an understanding of costs, attention to detail and feasibility • independent, organised and decisive Both mid-career and senior candidates are welcome to apply.
