Your role in the story
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you are at the heart of what we do offshore. You turn complex challenges into smart, workable solutions and play a key role in projects that push technical boundaries, from early concept and tendering to detailed engineering and offshore execution.
You'll work within, Wind, Decommissioning or Transport & Installation, where you collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to some of the most impressive offshore operations worldwide. Whether it's designing fit‑for‑purpose lifting arrangements, safeguarding structural integrity, or supporting execution offshore, your expertise makes a direct and visible impact. Beyond delivering high‑quality engineering, you help shape the way we work. You share knowledge, challenge existing approaches, support the development of less experienced engineers and actively contribute to a learning and continuously improving organization. What you will be working on
• Concept and detailed design of offshore fit‑for‑purpose lifting arrangements and steel structures, such as lifting appliances, lift points, grillage and seafastening
• Structural strength verifications, including advanced non‑linear Finite Element Analyses using tools such as SACS and ABAQUS
• Reviewing and approving structural deliverables, including drawings and construction reports
• Performing quality control on work delivered by colleagues and contractors
• Actively contributing to a learning and continuously improving engineering organization by sharing knowledge and identifying improvement opportunities
Key ingredients for success
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore engineering, project preparation and execution
• A solid background in offshore structural engineering
• Strong analytical skills combined with a practical, pragmatic mindset
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Supervisory and coaching skills to guide and support less experienced engineers
• The ambition and flexibility to work (temporarily) offshore, abroad or in one of our international offices
