At Nouryon, our global team takes positive action every day, to reach higher collectively and individually. We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to answer society's needs - today and in the future.
We are looking for team members who bring ideas forward, champion others and work together to do better. Does that sound like you?
The P2P Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, from purchase requisition through to payment, in line with Nouryon standards. In this role, you support business stakeholders across the region in enabling a seamless payment process. You also assist the P2P with operational matters, leveraging data from VIM/SAP to provide detailed performance insights, identify issues, and recommend process improvements for specific vendors and types of purchases.
In your future role as P2P Specialist you will
• Act as the first point of contact for P2P-related queries, including escalations from internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Guide and support business users across the region in creating accurate purchase requisitions and purchase orders (Ariba, SAP)
• Support the timely and accurate execution of Goods Receipts and Service Receipts (GR/SR)
• Monitor GR/SR compliance and provide feedback to improve first-time-right invoice processing
• Support the resolution of master data and authorization issues
• Act as a key user by logging and managing SAP VIM tickets with IM and supporting testing of system and process changes
• Maintain and administer all SAP VIM-related tickets
• Guide end users to training materials and provide functional explanations where needed
• Ensure optimal system usage aligned with global P2P standards to drive operational efficiency
• Prepare and deliver periodic KPI reporting
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient invoice processing
• Follow up with stakeholders to resolve invoice issues and expedite payments
• Perform root cause analysis on invoice and purchase order issues and implement solutions
• Monitor vendor queries and ensure timely resolution of recurring issues
• Ensure stakeholders are informed about and adhere to P2P policies and procedures
• Monitor vendor portals, query mailboxes, and invoice escalations
• Track performance via the e-invoicing Power BI dashboard
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the P2P process
• Prepare and upload SOX control documentation
• Support audit requests and special projects
• A practical qualification in Accounting, Business Finance, or a related field
• Solid hands-on experience with P2P processes in Ariba and SAP
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• A strong command of English (both written and spoken)
• Strong in data analysis and process improvement, with solid interpersonal skills
• A conceptual thinker with a hands-on mentality
• An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Able to handle escalations in a professional manner
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines, especially during month-end closing
• A team player with a collaborative mindset
• Capable of working independently within established guidelines and procedures
