Function What you will do - Take ownership of the engineering scope for yacht equipment packages, ensuring delivery within agreed planning, budget and technical requirements. - Assess client specifications, technical requirements and project constraints to determine feasibility and engineering approach for custom-built equipment solutions. - Develop and maintain project budgets, engineering schedules and resource plans for multiple concurrent yacht projects. - Provide operational leadership to internal and external engineers, monitoring progress, priorities and deliverable quality throughout the engineering lifecycle. - Coordinate engineering activities with lead engineers, project engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between design, manufacturing and installation requirements. - Ensure that all engineering deliverables comply with customer specifications, applicable standards and project quality requirements. Organization Akerboom, part of the De Vries Group, is responsible for the design and production of highly specialised yacht equipment including gangways, platforms, cranes, doors, hatches and boarding systems for Feadship superyachts. The engineering environment combines custom mechanical design, demanding client requirements and complex integration within yachts ranging from 75 to 120 metres.
