As Project Manager at N-Sea, you play a central role in driving the successful delivery of the company's core business, with a primary focus on Inspection, Repair & Maintenance (IRM) and UXO projects. You take full ownership of the project life cycle from planning and execution to completion, ensuring that each project meets company objectives, client expectations, and the highest SHEQ standards.
In this role, you are the key interface with the client, maintaining clear communication and fostering strong relationships built on trust and performance. You lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, effectively managing resources, schedules and budgets to ensure that all project activities are executed safely, efficiently and within scope.
Your leadership ensures that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the customer's satisfaction, while continuously reviewing and implementing departmental procedures in alignment with N-Sea's standards and business goals.
You will be based at the main office in Dordrecht, however partly remote working is an option and short trips to installation vessels may be part of your job. We offer you a great working place with enthusiastic colleagues, a high variety of your work in which you are able to truly contribute.
Key responsibilities
• Being ultimately responsible for managing projects without incidents and accidents in time and within budget to client satisfaction.
• Perform risk management within Contracts, including SHEQ and Commercial, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed and demonstrably mitigated.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy for the project, including both Technical and Commercial (including promoting of additional N-Sea services which are relevant to the project and develop further business opportunities).
• Maintain optimal client relationship and create commercial opportunities.
• Ensuring all work carried out within the contracts is in accordance with Company Processes and Procedures and regulatory compliance requirements including but not limited to client specifications and requirements, relevant certifying authorities and verification bodies, applicable legislation and industry standards.
• Manage the project, including final report, as-built, close-out, lessons learned, client satisfaction feedback and final payments received.
• Manage and level the workload for project personnel, ensuring the best utilisation of resources.
• Act as the main focal point and liaison between N-Sea and the customer for all communication relating to their project.
• Controlling and ensuring that subcontractor personnel, e.g. ROV Contractor, Mobilisation Contractor, etc., labour is readily available and effectively manage all plant and equipment requirements, ensuring the correct equipment for the job is supplied.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a suitable engineering discipline, project management, or business studies.
• Experience in a similar role within the energy, oil & gas or maritime sector.
• Proven project engineering experience in the engineering industry.
• Knowledge of IRM operations.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Computer literate.
