Food Procurement Officer (Volunteer)

What do you contribute to? The Food Bank works exclusively with volunteers, so everyone works unpaid! As a volunteer at the Limburg-Zuid Food Bank, you'll connect with people from all walks of life. This way, you'll get to know volunteers from the region who, like you, want to contribute to society. What are we looking for: • You have experience with small maintenance jobs • You have a customer-friendly attitude • You are in possession of a driving license B • You have a good command of the Dutch language • You live in the region of Landgraaf, Heerlen, Kerkrade What do we ask of you? • You are a person who works efficiently and accurately • You understand the importance of food safety • You will be responsible for minor maintenance at our head office in Landgraaf and our 13 distribution centers in the region. • You are flexible with regard to work and working hours • You are motivated and feel committed to the Food Bank's objectives • Working hours can be determined in consultation. • Desired availability: 2 or more days per week What are we looking for: • You are a motivated driver/all-rounder • You have a customer-friendly attitude. • You have a B driving license. Preferably also a C driving license. (Code 95 is not required) • You have a good command of the Dutch language • You know your way around South Limburg • You live in the region of Landgraaf, Heerlen, Kerkrade. Front office employee What are you going to do: • You man the reception, receive visitors and answer the phone, forward it to the correct department or make call-back notes • You work together with our customer contact department • You maintain contacts with clients and other stakeholders • You perform administrative tasks What do we ask: • You have an MBO work and thinking level • Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook is a plus • You are a good listener and patient • You work independently and accurately • You are preferably available for a longer period of time for at least 2 days a week What do you get in return? Food procurement officer (volunteer) The Limburg-Zuid Food Bank is looking for an enthusiastic individual for the position of Food Procurement Officer. You will work with colleagues to ensure adequate and sufficient food procurement for the Limburg-Zuid Food Bank's clients. What are you going to do: • Compiling and maintaining lists of potential suppliers. • Relationship management. • Records agreements with existing and new suppliers regarding the delivery of food. • Aims to make agreements about structural delivery. • Is the point of contact and maintains contacts with food suppliers. Ideally you have the following qualifications: • Being able to work independently and in a team • Administrative skills • Good computer skills, including Excel and Word • Good communication skills and empathy, a pleasant conversationalist • Good command of the Dutch language, spoken and written • Communication skills • MBO/HBO work and thinking level • Knowledge of food products is recommended What do we ask of you? This position is estimated to involve 2-3 days per week. Our working hours are 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Working hours are flexible and can be agreed upon in mutual consultation. What do you get in return?
