Data Engineer

Data Engineer Tilburg MTD is looking for a Data Engineer who is technically savvy and enjoys consulting with the business on what data is needed and what the requirements and priorities are. You will be responsible for modelling, structuring and analysing financial and operational data so that the organisation can work more data-driven. It is a broad role, focusing on the technical side (data pipelines, data modelling). At the same time, you can also bridge to the business with your analytical view. You have strong analytical skills, several years of working experience in data modelling and data architecture and an affinity for statistics and data visualisation. What are you concerned with Data Engineering - Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT) - Optimising data architecture and performance - Develop and manage data warehousing solutions - Ensuring data quality, reliability and consistency - Automating data flows and processes - Integrating data from different sources (APIs, databases, files) Analysis - Analysing datasets to support business issues - Translating business needs into data solutions What do you bring You have at least hbo/wo working and thinking level (e.g. Computer Science or Data Science) and knowledge of SQL. On the technical side, you have worked with Python, ETL tools (such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt), data warehousing, Microsoft Power Platform and the Azure cloud platform. We are looking for someone who is communicatively strong, proactive and solution-oriented, as well as independent, self-reliant, accurate and quality-oriented. Additionally, if you have knowledge of data governance and security, and an interest in big data and AI agent development, that is a plus. Why work at MTD ?
