Do you like working with your hands in the Port of Rotterdam, close to The Hague? Start as a container mechanic and work on solid container repairs at Maersk.
What are you going to do?
As a container mechanic / welder (box mechanic), you work at a large container terminal. No day is the same. You see direct results from your work and work safely, both independently and in a team. You start with a temporary contract via Adecco, with the possibility of permanent employment at Maersk.
- Carry out container repairs according to clear guidelines
- Weld and process metal parts (MIG welding) on sea containers
- Assemble and disassemble reefer units when damaged
- Inspect containers and record damages correctly
- Work with measuring tools and cutting and grinding equipment
You will work in a two-shift system. This is active port work in Rotterdam, easily accessible from The Hague and surrounding areas.

- Gross hourly salary between €19.05 and €22.11 (based on experience)
- 14% shift allowance + 5.01% ADV allowance per worked hour
- €0.23 per kilometer travel allowance

- Experience as a welder, box mechanic or container mechanic
- MIG welding experience and a valid VCA Basic certificate
- Technical insight and accurate working style
- You follow safety rules and keep your workplace clean
- You have your own transportation
