You will learn from experienced professionals and contribute to complete packaging machines, from individual components through to the finished product. At Willems, you can choose between two specialisations: Mechatronics or Sheet Metal and Production . We are a growing family-owned company with more than 75 colleagues and develop complete packaging solutions entirely in-house. Engineering, production, assembly, automation and service all come together under one roof. This gives you the opportunity to learn a wide range of technical skills and discover which type of work suits you best. Vacancy at a glance: As a Vocational Apprentice, you will work in our modern production environment four days a week and attend school one day a week. You will receive an appropriate salary for five days a week, as we also pay you for your day at school. You will receive excellent guidance, work on unique machines and have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills. For this work-study position, you are enrolled in a technical vocational programme, for example in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, Sheet Metal Work or Machining. You are curious, practically minded and enjoy working accurately with others. What will you do as a Vocational Apprentice in Mehcatronics? Within the Mechatronics specialisation, you will help assemble mechanical components and wire and connect electrical components. You will learn how our machines are built and gradually take on more responsibility during the assembly process. You will also assist with testing, inspecting and adjusting machines. Because we do not build standard machines, you will work on a wide variety of projects and see how a complete machine is created from start to finish. What will you do as a Vocational Apprentice in Sheet Metal and Production? Within the Sheet Metal and Production specialisation, you will become familiar with various stages of the production process. You will learn skills such as drilling, grinding and welding and help manufacture components that will later be used in our packaging machines. In practice, we will also train you in CNC press brake operation and CNC machining of plastics. You will not work on large production runs, but on a variety of custom-made components. This keeps the work varied and allows you to continuously learn new techniques. What do you bring as a Vocational Apprentice? You are enrolled in a technical vocational programme and have a strong interest in technology. For the Mechatronics specialisation, you are preferably studying Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. For Sheet Metal and Production, you are studying to become, for example, a metal fabricator, all-round sheet metal worker or all-round machinist. You are curious and practically minded, enjoy working with your hands and actively contribute ideas. You are also accurate, eager to learn and enthusiastic.
