Temporary Program Officer (80% - 100%) Bewaar vacature Stichting Vluchteling Stichting Vluchteling (Netherlands Refugee Foundation) is an emergency relief organization that supports national and international partner organizations in helping displaced populations through the delivery of direct humanitarian assistance. In the Netherlands, we inform the Dutch public about the situation of people on the move, humanitarian realities and emergency aid in general. Stichting Vluchteling (SV) currently has a diverse and enthusiastic team of about 55 employees, mainly working from The Hague. The working atmosphere is informal but decisive, which is necessary to respond quickly in emergencies. Due to the maternity leave of one of our Program Officers, we are currently seeking a full-time Program Officer for a temporary period of 8 months. Temporary Program Officer (80% - 100%) Common tasks The program officer (PO) is responsible for managing grants that are provided from Stichting Vluchteling to both local and international aid organizations in order to implement emergency aid programs for refugees and displaced persons. The PO will contribute to our overall strategy, which is focusing more and more on reaching hard to reach populations in conflict settings, with local partners. The PO will be expected to collaborate closely with our advocacy- and access advisors and our finance-, communication- and fundraising teams. The ideal candidate will have strong in-situ experience with humanitarian program management, with working with local and international partners where there's no one-size-fits all approach, and with implementing Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) policies.
