Tech lead

- Domain Lead for Retail Banking Analytics Technology Roles and Responsibilities We are looking for a Domain Tech Lead to join us in Amsterdam. In this role, you are responsible for the products and architecture in your domain, and for shaping the way of working and culture. You co-create the domain product roadmaps, help establish a fast path to production, steer the vision on components and architecture, and ensure implementations follow best practices and align with ING's tech landscape. You also build centralised domain knowledge, strengthen domain culture, and mentor other engineers. How to succeed - Master's degree or equivalent practical experience. - Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working in a semi-remote, globally distributed team. - Strong understanding of machine learning project life cycles and data engineering. Experience designing complex IT landscapes, including governance, standards, and methodology. - Knowledge of software and data engineering best practices. - Proven delivery and coordination skills (planning, reporting, dependency management); able to identify risks and drive improvements across teams. - Able to work end-to-end across functional and non-functional requirements, collaborating with multiple teams (including infrastructure) to translate architecture into actionable designs and guide implementation choices. - Hands-on experience running machine learning engineering (MLE) workloads in public cloud environments (preferably GCP). - Advanced Python skills, with experience building data pipelines and applying model training/testing practices (e.g., feature selection and data quality validation).
