Structural Engineer

As a structural engineer, you deliberately choose to tackle structural challenges. You provide both requested and proactive advice to property developers, architects, and contractors. Your recommendations take into account the load paths and structural behaviour of the primary load-bearing system. In your day-to-day work, you consider it important to continuously expand and deepen your expertise in structural engineering by working on a diverse range of projects for renowned contractors, concrete suppliers, and steel fabricators. What you'll enjoy doing: Designing, calculating and detailing the supporting structures in concrete and steel; Designing, calculating and detailing precast concrete constructions; Accurately executing and monitoring your own activities; Keeping up with and increasing the necessary knowledge and skills; Reporting complaints and/or problems to the projectleader; Living up to the guide lines of the quality plan; Transferring results of the calculations to the modelers; Monitoring the implementation of the calculating results by the Modelers; Tracking your own work administration (registration of worked hours); Guiding, accompanying and monitoring junior structural engineers.
