Job Strategic Buyer Job description Are you a strong sparring partner with a clear vision on procurement, supplier development and supply chain collaboration? Within the Supply Chain organization of BKL Engineering, we are looking for a Strategic Buyer who will play a key role in the further growth and professionalization of our procurement organization. Your role Due to the growth of BKL Engineering, the significant share of purchased materials in our products, the increasing complexity of supply chains and the intensified co-development with suppliers, the strategic role of procurement is more important than ever. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be a driving force behind the selection, development and management of suppliers. In doing so, you will make a direct and valuable contribution to achieving our ambitions and business objectives. You will be part of a procurement team consisting of strategic and operational buyers. In close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations, you will take the lead in supplier relationships, supplier performance and strategic collaboration. Your responsibilities As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for further developing our supplier base and strengthening our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include: • selecting, developing and assessing suppliers; • managing supplier relationships and supplier performance; • shaping and executing the procurement strategy; • supporting product development projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders; • guiding co-development projects with suppliers; • identifying opportunities and risks within the supply chain; • carrying out supplier scouting for new product development projects, new markets and new applications. What do you bring? We are looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on professional who is confident, persuasive and able to switch easily between internal stakeholders and external suppliers. You recognize yourself in the following: • you have experience in a strategic procurement role, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment; • you have knowledge of supplier management, supply chain and procurement strategies; • you have strong communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence; • you have experience with stakeholder management in a multidisciplinary environment; • you are analytical, results-oriented and proactive; • you have an affinity with product development and technical collaborations.
