Strategic Air Cargo Controller (3+ Years Experience)

In this high-stakes role, you are the backbone of the air cargo supply chain, where every minute and every document counts. Your day is defined by the high pressure of flight schedules and the absolute necessity for precision in handling complex shipments. You don't just move boxes; you manage the integrity of international trade by ensuring all cargo is cleared, secured, and palletized according to strict aviation standards. You operate with a deep understanding of the logistical flow and are capable of making split-second decisions to prevent delays in global transport. Tasks - Orchestrating the full handling cycle of air freight shipments under strict deadlines. - Verifying and managing complex airway bills, customs declarations, and manifests. - Supervising the technical build-up of ULDs to maximize flight capacity and safety. - Conducting rigorous security screenings in compliance with aviation law. - Managing the logistics of specialized cargo, including perishables and high-value goods. - Interfacing directly with ground handlers and airline representatives to optimize transit. - Monitoring and reporting on shipment status within advanced air cargo WMS platforms. We are looking for - A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience specifically within the air freight industry. - Possession of a valid "Medewerker Luchtvracht" or "Beveiligingsadviseur Luchtvracht" certificate. - Expert knowledge of IATA regulations and international customs procedures. - Proven ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, time-critical environment. - Fluency in English is mandatory; professional proficiency in Dutch is highly preferred. - A proactive attitude and the ability to pass a rigorous background check (VGB).
