Skilled sewerage worker in the Water and Sewerage Unit
Apeldoorn City Council is looking for a skilled member of staff to join the sewerage team within the Water and Sewerage Unit
The municipality of Apeldoorn is looking for a Skilled sewerage worker (36 hours) in the Water and Sewerage unit. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure the smooth operation of the sewerage system throughout the municipality of Apeldoorn for our more than 169,000 residents. You will repair leaks, domestic and manhole connections, install new connections and carry out all necessary repair work on the gravity sewer system. If required, you may also be called upon to work on the emergency call-out service. You will work in a fixed team of two people, although you may also be asked to join another team to lend a hand where needed.
About the Management and Maintenance Unit
The Management and Maintenance Unit is responsible for keeping public spaces intact, safe and clean. This ranges from the upkeep of green spaces and roads to sewerage systems, cemeteries and pumping stations. Residents' involvement is playing an increasingly important role in management and maintenance. Consequently, more and more work is being carried out by and in consultation with residents. After all, public spaces belong to us all. In addition to 200 permanent staff, we also work with around 100 people from supported employment schemes. What do we expect from you? - You have a VMBO/MBO3 level of working and thinking.
