The company is part of a French parent, has nearly 200 employees, sales of €100m and spend of about €60m. Job description In addition to you, the procurement team consists of the procurement manager and a fellow Procurement officer. The procurement manager also leads a Logistics team leader with his team. You will focus on raw materials for production, such as chemicals (pigments, coating), cotton, pulp and also products sourced to customer specifications. In total about 25 commodities. Origin is partly from countries like Uzbekistan, Korea, China, but also France, Italy, UK. To organize the basis (operational purchasing, planning) of your work well, your focus will initially be on data management in the ERP system MS Business Central (e.g. correct item numbers, prices, delivery times) and on improving the processes for planning and forecasting and inventory management. In addition, from day one you will pick up your tactical purchasing tasks, focusing on the aforementioned commodities: - Working with stakeholders to determine procurement needs - Searching for, selecting and negotiating with suppliers, drafting contracts in close cooperation with your stakeholders - Managing supplier relationships, including by monitoring KPIs and discussing them with suppliers - Identify and minimize risks in the supply chain - Track market trends and translate these into procurement initiatives.
