Core responsibilities - Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, suites, and utilities for UI, API, and integration testing. - Partner with engineering, product, and QA to define test strategy, coverage goals, and quality gates. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; monitor results and reduce flaky tests. - Perform root-cause analysis for defects and test failures; document findings and drive remediation. - Establish automation standards, coding practices, and reusable patterns; mentor other engineers. - Track quality metrics (coverage, pass rate, defect leakage) and continuously improve processes. Required skills - Strong experience in test automation engineering and framework development. - Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#). - Hands-on experience with automation tools for UI and API testing (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, Postman). - CI/CD and build tooling knowledge (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). - Solid understanding of test design, debugging, version control, and modern SDLC practices.
