Core responsibilities - Architect and implement end-to-end data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads. - Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models, including MLOps automation. - Build and maintain scalable data platforms, warehouses/lakes, and feature stores. - Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and observability across systems. - Optimize performance, cost, and reliability in cloud and distributed environments. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Document systems, define standards, and mentor engineers on best practices. Required skills and experience - Programming: Python and SQL; experience with production-grade software practices. - Data engineering: ETL/ELT, orchestration, data modeling, and distributed processing. - ML engineering: model lifecycle management, experimentation, deployment, monitoring. - Cloud: hands-on experience with major cloud platforms and managed data/ML services. - DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring/logging. - Communication: ability to explain tradeoffs and align on technical decisions.
