Core responsibilities - Review, assess, and decide on residential mortgage dossiers from intermediaries, including income, collateral, and affordability analysis. - Apply underwriting policy, risk appetite, and pricing guidelines; identify exceptions and propose mitigations. - Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Wft, AML/KYC, privacy) and internal controls. - Communicate decisions clearly to brokers and internal stakeholders; request additional documentation when needed. - Monitor portfolio quality signals, escalate complex cases, and contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting processes. - Support knowledge sharing, coach junior acceptants, and help standardize decision-making.
