• > News • > Soest seeks evangelist Soest seeks evangelist 26 May 2026 Vacancy: Evangelist for Soest Evangelism work has been carried out from the CGK, Ichthuskerk (HHK) and Gereformeerde Gemeente in Soest for many years. There is child evangelisation work, there are open coffee mornings and open meals. There are special actions around King's Day and Christmas, and a neighbourhood newsletter is regularly distributed in the neighbourhood around the churches. To support and expand this work, the churches are looking for an evangelist (M/F) for 0.4-0.5 FTE. Profile The evangelist will preferably have the following profile: • Passion for missionary work • Skilled in establishing and maintaining contacts • Team player, able to collaborate and inspire well • Relevant experience and/or education • Confessing member of, for example, CGK, HHK or PKN Reformed Union Job description The duties of the intended evangelist include the following items: • Co-continuing existing activities • Maintain and develop contacts with participants in activities and provide pastoral help to them • Set up additional activities to reach Southerners, with focus on face-to-face meeting • Organising meetings over time (if the need arises) • Equipping church members, especially those involved in evangelisation activities Appointment The evangelist is appointed by the church custodian of the Ichthus Church. It is a temporary appointment of 0.4-0.5 FTE for one year, with annual evaluation and possible extension. Salary will be according to the employment conditions regulation of the HHK ( Church workers and church officers - Restored Reformed Church ), in scale 7-9. The church councils have placed substantive responsibility for the work with the joint local evangelisation committees of HHK and CGK.
