For their site in Papendrecht, we are looking for a Safety Advisor with the specialism in environmental compliance to strengthen the HSE team. Functieomschrijving The site operates across three distinct business lines, each with its own risks and challenges. As a Compliance Specialist, you advise colleagues across the organization. You review and analyse applicable laws and regulations and ensure that compliance requirements are met both now and in the future. Your focus areas include water, air, soil, energy consumption and waste. You are able to strike the right balance between regulatory compliance and practical solutions, and your clear communication style supports the organization in achieving and maintaining compliance while meeting defined sustainability and performance goals. You will be part of the HSE Team and report to the HSE Director. What will you do: Policy & Governance - Contribute to the development and formulation of the company's HSE policy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. - Implement and embed approved policies across the organization. - Monitor relevant (inter)national legislation and regulations and advise the organization on implications and required actions. - Translate legal and regulatory requirements into internal procedures and guidelines and ensure effective implementation.
