Job description
As a Research Assistant in the Rotterdam office, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects that combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You will work closely with analysts and project managers, helping to ensure that client projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Your focus will be on supporting the team with a variety of analytical and project-related tasks. Along the way, you will gain valuable exposure to the world of consumer insights and consultancy while working on projects for some of the world's leading brands. Through these projects, you will help major consumer goods companies make strategic decisions around innovation, portfolio optimization, and brand communications. For example, you might help a client in understanding how price changes might impact consumer demand.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting analysts and project managers in the day-to-day execution of client projects
• Assisting with the setup of questionnaires and project-related tools
• Contributing to data processing, analysis, and insight generation
• Supporting operational and administrative project activities
• Helping ensure that deliverables meet SKIM's high standards for quality and accuracy
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a dedicated, smart and enthusiastic team player. Typically, we are looking for someone with the following profile:
• Currently studying at university level (final-year bachelor's or master's), preferably in a relevant field such as Behavioral Economics, Business Economics, Marketing Management, Business Analytics, Econometrics, or a related field
• Interest in consumer insights, data analytics, and consultancy
• Available for at least 16 hours per week during office hours, with a preference for 24 hours per week
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn and develop professionally
• Internationally-minded
