For our dynamic and fast-growing site in Heerlen, we are looking for a QESH Officer with a strong focus on Health & Safety. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening our safety culture within a complex logistics operation. The Environment You will work in a challenging setting: • A high-volume, industrial-like semi continue logistics operation • A large site with approximately 600 employees from various nationalities • A relatively new site with plenty of room for growth and improvement Your Role As a QESH Officer, you are responsible for safeguarding and improving quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across the site. You are highly visible on the shop floor & work closely with operations and management. Key Responsibilities • Implement and maintain QESH procedures and policies • Actively engage and coach employees on health and safety topics • Advise operational management and stakeholders on compliance, change management, and continuous improvement • Conduct (internal and external) audits, inspections, and spot checks (e.g. Labour Inspector, …) • Maintain and improve the QESH management system • Drive and execute risk assessments (RI&E) and analyses • Lead and support the Safety Committee • Conduct incident investigations and reporting • Use data-driven insights to improve Health & Safety performance • Promote a strong and sustainable safety culture Who You Are • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working and thinking level (HBO), preferably in QESH or similar • 1-3 years of experience in a QESH role (preferably in logistics or manufacturing) • Strong affinity with Health & Safety on the shop floor • Interest in automation and process optimization • Hands-on, proactive, and a true team player • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Fluent in Dutch and English What We Offer • GXO 10 role with a competitive salary aligned to market benchmarks • Excellent training and career development opportunities • Working in an international and rapidly growing organization • Heerlen as your primary work location (no company car included) • Living within approximately 1 hour travel distance of Heerlen • Eligible to work in the EU Interested?
