As a CAD Engineer within the Water & Sensor Systems team, you translate engineering concepts into precise, manufacturable designs. You work closely with mechanical engineers, product developers, and production teams to develop and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and product documentation for our irrigation, dosing, and sensor product lines. Your work directly contributes to solutions used by growers across Europe and beyond.
What you'll do
•
Create and maintain 3D models and 2D production drawings using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent)
•
Develop component and assembly drawings that meet manufacturing and quality standards
•
Collaborate with R&D, mechanical engineering, and supply chain teams during new product development
•
Support design changes and modifications throughout the product lifecycle (ECO/ECN process)
•
Maintain and organize the product data structure in our PDM/PLM environment
•
Contribute to design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant standards and norms
•
Work with suppliers and internal production on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) considerations
Job requirements
What you'll bring
•
An MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; a background in Electrical Engineering is a plus
•
2 years proven experience with 3D CAD software - Autodesk Inventor experience is a strong advantage
•
Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems (e.g. Autodesk Vault, Windchill)
•
A feel for materials, manufacturing processes, and precision mechanical assembly
•
Affinity with fluid systems, piping, or sensor-based products is a plus
•
Affinity with electrical engineering, wiring, or electromechanical systems is a preference
•
Accurate, structured, and hands-on in your way of working
•
Good communication skills in Dutch and English
