Partnerships and Philanthropy Internship
Part-time ● On-location
Are you a Bachelor's or Master's student looking to build your experience and relationship management skills? Join as a Partnerships and Philanthropy Intern and become part of our dynamic team! In this role, you will work closely with our Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy and the Partnerships and Philanthropy Coordinator to gain insight into the world of arts and culture fundraising, supporting the team with events, acquisition, and relationship management.
Tasks and responsibilities
Research and prospect identification
•
Conduct in-depth research to identify potential income sources and interesting leads;
•
Support prospect research for foundations, corporate and individual donors;
•
Assist in developing strategies to engage individual donors, major donors, corporate partners and foundations;
•
Dedicate at least one day per week to corporate fundraising, including research, pitch preparation and data entry.
Event support
•
Provide valuable organisational assistance in preparation for our Impact Award Week where the Fund will celebrate its 30-year anniversary, with the aim to present artists and broaden the network;
•
Assist with guest lists, logistics, production and aftercare;
•
Contribute ideas and co-think with Partnerships and Philanthropy Coordinator;
•
Support various other events throughout the year, depending on need.
Administrative assistance and database management
•
mprove the accuracy of the fundraising team's database by proactively updating contacts and organisational information of the Fund's global network;
•
Take the lead in the data management of relations in PerfectView (CRM), including logging fundraising relations and actions, filing documents, and archiving data;
•
Provide administrative support to the team, including financial administration, communications, arranging gifts and mailings.
Relationship Management
•
Handle inquiries and requests of the general mailbox with efficiency and a donor-centric approach.
Qualities and qualifications we're looking for
•
Being fluent in English is required; Dutch language skills is preferred;
•
Based in the Netherlands with valid BSN required;
•
Enrolled in an HBO/WO programme during the previous and/or upcoming academic semester;
•
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems is preferred;
•
Strong research, writing and organisational skills;
•
Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively to deliver on time;
•
Own basic design skills (preferable);
•
Passion for arts and culture.
What we offer
•
A meaningful internship in an international cultural organisation with a wide global network;
•
Hybrid working (office in Amsterdam; presence expected on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays);
•
Duration: 4-6 months, starting beginning September (flexible in consultation);
•
Internship allowance: €500/month for 32 hours per week.
