Operator Fresh Produce (publications-50401-C)

What will you do? As an Operator, you will work in a dynamic production environment within the fresh produce industry (potatoes, vegetables, and fruit). You will play an important role in the sorting process of avocados and mangoes, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. During your first week, you will work on the sorting line to gain a thorough understanding of the production process. You will sort fruit based on its ripeness while learning how the sorting department operates. After this onboarding period, you will be paired with an experienced buddy who will guide and support you until you are confident enough to work independently. Your responsibilities include: - Working on the sorting line during your onboarding period, sorting fruit based on ripeness; - Receiving and processing production orders using the computer; - Translating production orders into clear instructions for the sorting team; - Supervising a sorting line of approximately 7 employees; - Monitoring the quality and progress of the production process. This is a varied role in which you will combine hands-on production work with team leadership. You will continuously switch between planning, execution, and coordinating your team to ensure production targets are met. Working Days & Hours You will work 38 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays when required. Working hours: 06:45 AM – 03:30 PM, with occasional overtime until production has been completed. - Available to work 38 hours per week, Monday through Friday (occasional Saturdays); - Comfortable working with computers; - Good command of Dutch and/or English; - Experience in the fresh produce industry is an advantage; - Experience as an Operator or in a supervisory role; - Able to lead and motivate a team; - Stress-resistant and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
