Hands-on Software Architect Requirements - ----------- ### Must have: ### - Substantial experience as a software engineer with a track record of taking architectural responsibility for non-trivial systems. - Productivity in at least two of: C#/.NET, TypeScript/Angular, and Python. - Hands-on experience with Azure (and ideally GCP), including identity, security, and platform services. - Familiarity with edge or IoT scenarios; Azure IoT Edge is a plus. - Ability to get up to speed quickly in unfamiliar codebases and be productive within days. - Strong communication skills; able to explain technical trade-offs to both junior engineers and C-level stakeholders. Fluency in English required. - Pragmatic mindset: choose well-understood solutions when appropriate and recognise when to innovate. Responsibilities: - ---------------- - Own the architecture of iwells full software stack and keep it coherent as the company grows. - Spend around 50% of your time writing production code and working alongside development teams. - Make and document key technical decisions: technology choices, service boundaries, data flows, security and identity, deployment and operability. - Partner with tech leads and product managers to align technical direction with product strategy. - Coach and mentor engineers; review designs and code. - Monitor non-functional concerns (scalability, reliability, security, cost) across Azure and GCP.
