Would you like to help shape sustainability within VTS? In this role, you will translate data and legislation into concrete improvements, systems and tangible results.
As a Sustainability Officer at VTS, you will play a key role in further professionalising our approach to sustainability. You will work on sustainability projects, reports, certifications and the further development of processes and management systems. In doing so, you will ensure that sustainability is not merely a policy, but is reflected in day-to-day practice and in measurable results.
This is what your day will look like
•
You will support sustainability projects and improvement initiatives within the organisation
•
You will work on issues such as CO₂ reduction, energy, waste, circularity and corporate social responsibility
•
You will collect, manage and analyse sustainability data (including energy, CO₂ and waste)
•
You will assist in setting up, implementing and maintaining (environmental) management systems
•
You will monitor progress towards sustainability targets and support improvement initiatives
•
You will draw up reports and sustainability reports
•
You will provide support with customer enquiries, tenders and sustainability questionnaires
•
You will prepare for and oversee certifications and audits (such as EcoVadis)
•
You will monitor developments in legislation and regulations relating to sustainability and report on these
•
You will translate Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) guidelines and CSRD obligations into practical actions for the organisation
•
You will work alongside internal departments, customers and suppliers
•
You will ensure clear and consistent communication on sustainability
Your team
You will be working within VTS's sustainability department and will report to the Sustainability & Manager. In this role, you will work closely with various departments and external stakeholders.

Who are you?
•
HBO level of working and thinking, preferably with a focus on sustainability, logistics or business administration
•
An interest in sustainability, CO₂ reduction, energy, waste streams and data quality
•
Basic knowledge of sustainability reporting, CSRD, EcoVadis or management systems is an advantage
•
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data and Excel
•
Structured, meticulous and quality-focused
•
Good communication skills
•
Hands-on approach and practical mindset
•
You switch easily between operational tasks and analysis
