A new perspective on new staff
Many employers are looking for new employees. At the same time, the Meedoen in Delft project connects employers with motivated newcomers who are eager to get to work. These candidates often possess work experience, skills, and a strong motivation to work and learn. Werkse!TheThe Municipality of Delft and the COA collaborate in this and support employers from recruitment and selection to work permit applications and on-the-job guidance. As an employer, you have a single point of contact, allowing you to act quickly and fill vacancies easily.
Why working with asylum seekers works
The labor market in and around Delft remains tight, while a group of motivated people is ready to work. Many employers wonder: are you allowed to hire asylum seekers? The answer is yes, provided you apply for a work permit. Many newcomers bring relevant experience and speak good English, while further developing their skills in the Dutch language and work culture. Werkse! supports employers with practical matters, such as the TWV: the work permit required to employ someone. For you as an employer, this means:
motivated employees who are eager to get to work; - rapid deployability in practical roles; - strengthening your team. - At the same time, you give substance to social entrepreneurship and contribute to an inclusive labor market in Delft.

In previous projects, such as in municipalities like The Hague, this also proved to be a significant barrier: employers need clarity and support to take this step.
Experience from similar projects shows that four factors make the difference...
