Vacancy Project Team Member Location : Remote Do you believe that something should be done against the racism experienced by Asians in the Netherlands? Do you also enjoy being creative with different projects (think of making videos, writing articles and/or organizing events)? Then this role is for you! Iamprofiled wants to use positivity and creativity to make the Dutch aware of racism against Asians in the Netherlands. Because this is often a subject that people prefer to avoid, iamprofiled wants to make it as light and accessible as possible for discussion. We do this by organizing various events (both physical and online) and placing social media content on various platforms. Together with the team we work on a project basis on the events or the creation of content. Some of the projects we have worked on: we have helped Pathé Thuis (Dutch version of Netflix) to be more inclusive in their movie catalog to increase correct representation of Asians in movies, Educational videos about the moon party and the stereotypical image of Asian men, Instagram posts about intersectionality, Pride Amsterdam and Asian women in STEM, organizing a panel discussion with DWARS, and recording a podcast with Yang's Voices. As a Project Employee, you decide in consultation which activities you will take up per project. Think of: - Brainstorming about new content and/or events - Participate in videos (filming and/or editing) - Create Instagram posts (write and/or design text) - Make or maintain contact with (new) partners - Organize events What are you taking with you? - You like to be creative - You can work well together - 4-8 hours a week available (flexible to schedule) Unfortunately, as a non-profit organization we do not (yet) have a budget to reimburse you.
