The Amstel Hotel is looking for a skilled and hands-on Engineer to keep our hotel running smoothly. If you thrive on solving technical issues and ensuring everything is in top condition, we'd love to meet you!What is the role? - Keep Everything Running: Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in equipment and installations. - Repair & Maintain: Perform both simple and preventive maintenance work throughout the hotel, including minor painting and repair tasks. - Manage Supplies: Place orders for technical department parts and materials as needed. - Support Technical Projects: Assist in executing technical projects related to the hotel's operations. - Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and external parties to ensure smooth operations. Your profile: - Technical Mindset: Hands-on experience in maintenance or engineering. - Proactive & Problem-Solving: You enjoy finding quick and effective solutions. - Strong Communication Skills: You can communicate clearly and effectively in English (Dutch is a plus). - Team-Oriented: Works well in a team while also taking initiative independently. - Flexible Availability: Able to be on-site within 30 minutes for emergency service disruptions (future discussion), open to occasional weekend work and a 24/7 breakdown service rotation. - Working Hours: Shifts are on weekdays between 08:00 and 16:00 / 09:00 – 17:00 or 10:00 /18:00 What do we offer?   - A pleasant and collegial working environment in which own initiative is appreciated  - Travel allowance for a commuting distance of more than 5 km  - When you join us, you'll have access to Alleo.
