Mechanical Maintenance Technician P. van der Wegen Gears manufactures gears and gear related products with worldwide applications in mining and offshore, among others. What you will do You are responsible for keeping the entire machine park and its installations in top condition. ⚙ Carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance and performing inspections. ⚙ Resolving breakdowns and carrying out repairs, both mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical. ⚙ Taking initiative to keep the machine park functioning optimally. ⚙ Putting forward improvement proposals and making sure they are actually implemented. ⚙ Keeping the administration up to date, such as logging breakdowns and repairs in a logbook. What you bring ⚙ An MBO level 4 working and thinking level in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, preferably supplemented with Electrical Engineering. ⚙ Relevant work experience in maintaining (metalworking) machines. ⚙ Preferably knowledge of CNC machines; knowledge of Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls is a plus. ⚙ Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens STEP 5-7) is also a plus. ⚙ You work well independently and as part of a team, and you take responsibility. Good to know This is a day-shift position. If a breakdown occurs outside working hours, you are open to resolving it on an incidental basis.
