That is why we are looking for a Manager Projects who will provide direction to a challenging portfolio of CAPEX projects and ensure that plans become reality. Where will you be working? At Chane, safety always comes first. As Manager Projects, you are an important ambassador of our HSEQ culture. You ensure that safety, compliance, and risk management are an integral part of decision making, design, and execution from the very first phase of every project. You are responsible for a portfolio of strategic CAPEX projects across Chane. Together with the Project Managers in your team, you ensure that investments are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. While the Project Managers are responsible for the daily management, progress, and execution of individual projects, you focus on program management, prioritization, governance, resource planning, and stakeholder management. You oversee the coherence between projects, drive strategic objectives, and ensure that safety, quality, governance, and compliance are embedded throughout the entire project portfolio. You work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSEQ, Procurement, and external stakeholders to deliver projects safely, within budget, and according to schedule. The position is based in Rotterdam. Representative activities • Lead a team of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Services, Commissioning, and QA/QC professionals • Be responsible for the complete CAPEX project portfolio within Chane • Safeguard the strategic alignment between projects and investment programs • Prioritize projects and optimally allocate people, resources, and budgets • Drive portfolio performance, project governance, decision making, and quality • Advise the Technical Director on investment priorities, risks, and project progress • Create the conditions that enable Project Managers to operate successfully • Ensure and maintain uniform project management standards, reporting, and ways of working across Chane • Embed HSEQ, compliance, and risk management throughout all project phases • Act as project sponsor and escalation point for complex projects and programs • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, engineering partners, and regulatory authorities What do you bring to the table • A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline • Extensive experience delivering complex technical investment projects within an industrial environment • Experience leading project teams and managing multidisciplinary stakeholders • Knowledge of project management methodologies and project controls • Strong financial insight with regard to CAPEX budgets and business cases • Experience within the process industry, tank terminals, chemicals, energy, or a similar sector is an advantage • Excellent communication skills in English.
