Your role Working within London Heathrow Airport, the Maintenance Development Engineer is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of maintenance plans and asset performance across the operation. What we expect from you As a Maintenance Development Engineer, you will play a key role in driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced automated environment. We expect the following of you: • Qualified to HNC/HND or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline • Strong maintenance engineering and technical background • Knowledge of industrial automation systems and components • Experience using CMMS tools (preferably IBM Maximo) • Understanding of reliability methodologies such as RCM and FMECA • Ability to analyse data to improve MTBF and MTTR performance • Familiarity with predictive and condition-based maintenance techniques • Experience in continuous improvement practices • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work collaboratively and influence across multiple levels • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise key issues Additional expectations: • Act as a team player • Demonstrate a proactive and analytical approach to problem solving • Willingness to support operational requirements as needed Vanderlande is fully committed to supporting Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and welcomes applications from all candidates who meet our job specifications.
