Are you our new
Lead Project Manager for Solar & BESS?
For the energy transition
Lead Project Manager, Solar & BESS
Utrecht/hybrid | 40 hrs/wk | HBO | max €4,500 - €6,000 gross per month
Don't just build projects. Build a team too.
Are you an experienced project manager who thrives on complex technical projects and enjoys helping colleagues to develop? If so, this might be exactly the opportunity you're looking for.
At ProfiNRG, you won't be taking on a traditional management role. You'll remain directly involved in challenging solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, whilst at the same time helping to develop a team of project managers and work planners.
You'll be given a great deal of freedom, responsibility and influence - not only in the projects you carry out, but also in the way our project organisation continues to develop.
About ProfiNRG
ProfiNRG is one of the leading players in the Dutch renewable energy sector. For more than ten years, we have been developing, implementing and maintaining large-scale solar and BESS projects in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and utility markets.
Based in Utrecht, we work every day on smart energy solutions such as solar panels, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), energy management systems (EMS) and EV charging solutions. Due to our growth both in the Netherlands and internationally, we are looking to expand our team.
The Role
If Senior Project Manager / Team Leader for Solar & BESS within C&I you combine two roles.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of several solar and BESS projects, and you will be the first point of contact for a team of project managers and work planners.
You ensure that projects run smoothly, monitor the schedule, quality, budget and capacity, and help colleagues with substantive and organisational challenges. You don't have to solve everything yourself, but you do ensure that the team can succeed.
You will work closely with Engineering, Business Development, Procurement and Operations, and act as a key sparring partner for the Projects Manager. You will contribute ideas on the department's future growth and be given the freedom to organise processes in a smarter, more efficient and more professional way.
No two days are the same. One day you're sitting down with a client, the next you're coaching a project manager or providing guidance on a challenging BESS project.
Your responsibilities
• Leading a team of project managers and work planners.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues.
• To be personally responsible for several solar and BESS projects.
• Monitoring the schedule, budget, quality, safety and project outcome.
• Managing internal project teams and external partners.
• Act as the point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Development on the project pipeline, capacity and the handover of new projects.
• Identifying risks and bottlenecks at an early stage and ensuring appropriate solutions are put in place.
• Contribute to the further professionalisation of the project organisation.
• Report on progress, capacity and project results to the Projects Manager.
What You Bring
You are someone who enjoys taking on responsibility and keeping track of things. You are good at bringing people together, switch easily between technical and organisational matters, and feel at home in an environment where construction work is still in full swing.
In addition, you possess:
• A completed technical higher professional education (HBO) degree, for example in Industrial Engineering and Management.
• At least 2 years' experience as a technical project manager.
• Experience of managing or coaching colleagues.
• Experience of managing multiple technical projects running simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to bring different stakeholders together.
• You are enterprising, decisive and solution-oriented.
• An interest in solar energy, BESS or other renewable energy systems would be an advantage.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
• VCA-VOL certification or a willingness to obtain it.
• Category B driving licence.
What we offer
At ProfiNRG, you'll have the opportunity to help build an organisation that is rapidly evolving. You'll enjoy a great deal of freedom, short lines of communication and the chance to have a real say in how projects and teams are organised.
In addition, we offer:
• A salary of between €4,500 and €6,000 gross per month.
• Annual Company Bonus of up to one month's gross salary.
• Individual bonus.
• Pension scheme (1/3 employee contribution, 2/3 employer contribution).
• 28 days' holiday.
• Company car.
• Laptop and mobile phone.
• Home working allowance.
• Flexible working hours and hybrid working.
