Over het werk As a kitchen assistant in Amsterdam, you are responsible for preparing fresh products and ensuring a hygienic work environment. You work according to set procedures in a professional kitchen and, together with colleagues, make sure the sandwiches are perfectly prepared every day. In this full-time role, you work five days a week, including every Saturday, and have one fixed weekday off. You have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and grow within the company. Working hours vary from 07:00 to 16:00/17:00 or from 05:00 to 14:00. The position is stable and offers long-term prospects, with rewards for good performance and attendance. You start your workday by cutting fresh ingredients such as vegetables, meat, cheese, eggs, and fish, all according to a fixed cutting order. Then you mix ingredients according to recipes and prepare sauces or seasoned chicken, for example. You accurately weigh raw materials, register production and expiration dates, and ensure everything follows hygiene and safety guidelines. At the production line, you prepare sandwiches with your colleagues, and you place the prepared sandwiches in crates for the order pickers.
