Your position As a Simulation Engineer, you conduct studies on the dynamic interaction in - and the logistics performance of - the complex material handling systems sold by Vanderlande. You use 3-D simulation software to analyse and solve complex logistic problems. With your analytical skills and proactive attitude, you optimize the system and identify bottlenecks prior to installation at the customer site. You develop conceptual improvements to control strategies and provide customers with tailored advice by thinking creatively when developing your simulation model. After you have gained more experience, your communication skills will enable you to act as a link between the different disciplines involved when working on larger projects. Your department Within the Simulation team of the Digital Lifecycle Performance department, you will become part of a group of enthusiastic and highly skilled young professionals. The team provides simulation support across all market segments and a wide range of processes within Toyota Automated Logistics, from sales and service to project execution and technology development. Personal development is a key focus within the department, supporting simulation engineers in continuously building skills, expanding expertise and progressing in their roles. Your profile • A master in a relevant technical discipline like Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering • Knowledge of simulation, queuing theory quantitative analysis techniques, logic thinking skills. • Understanding of programming and at least some experience in programming languages like Matlab, VBA, JAVA, python, etc. • Preferably 0-2 years relevant experience. • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English and a proactive attitude • Willing to travel occasionally What we offer In this challenging and responsible position, you will have the chance to make a significant contribution to industry-leading projects and be connected to our dedicated people and customers.
