In short Faculty: Public Management, Law and Safety/research group Multilevel Regulation Education Level: a master or a Bachelor and the intention to pursue a Master Hours per week: 16-24 hours Location: Headquarters The Hague Research group Multilevel Regulation We define multilevel regulation "as the network of rules, actors, and practices at national, regional, international, and global levels, by placing the 'new' non-State actors in multilevel regulatory processes in the spotlight" (Warwas 2023). Multilevel regulation provides a space where diverse actors collaborate on transitions. This includes those actors who are often excluded from the table where legal and political discussions take place. Our unique approach to studying and learning about multilevel regulation comes down to what we call a conflict competence. In our research groups, we emphasise that learning about any collaborative frameworks, including the multilevel regulation, needs to be done by learning the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural skills of dispute resolution.
