Your opportunity at Merford
Depending on your programme of study, interests and learning objectives, you'll have the opportunity to gain internship experience within our IT department, covering application management, process optimisation, data management and supporting IT projects. During your internship, you'll get to know the various business applications and business processes within Merford.
Application Management and the development of business-critical software are carried out by our internal IT department. Other technical management is outsourced to an external IT partner and falls outside the scope of this internship.
Depending on your programme of study, interests and learning objectives, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience with Application Management, process optimisation, data management and supporting IT projects.
During your internship, you'll work with various business applications, including Exact Globe, Exact Synergy and Microsoft SQL Server.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn student with a focus on IT and an interest in Application Management.
The following characteristics suit you:
• You are studying a relevant higher professional education (HBO) programme in an IT-related field
• Your internship lasts at least three months, and preferably longer
• You have some knowledge of Exact Software and running SQL queries
• You are independent, analytically minded, and enjoy investigating things
• You have a good command of Dutch and English
• You want to work on your own development and are open to feedback
• You live within an acceptable travelling distance of Gorinchem
You have a structured and precise way of working, and are interested in data, systems and process improvement. You have a proactive and positive attitude, with an eye for detail and quality. You enjoy contributing ideas on improvements and working processes.
