Internships Internship at Media Art Friesland Hey you! Are you currently studying in communication, hospitality, technology or event organization and would you like to experience what it is like to put this into practice? Media Art Friesland organizes the media art festival LUNA, that takes place from the 3th to the 13th of February, 2022 at the Stationskwartier 1, with an exhibition of young makers (Young Masters) in media art, workshops and meetings and LUNA Nights from 9 - February 11, with spectacular light and media art installations in the city center of Leeuwarden. As an intern you get a lot of responsibility and you will be actively involved in our team. It is therefore necessary that you're proactive and know the English language, for you come to work in an international team. Are you a studious student who thrives in a creative and informal working environment and would you like to be actively involved in the organization of LUNA? Then read on! We offer traineeships in the following positions: Communications Whether you're the social media king or queen, you know how to write promotional texts or have a love for photography or film: you will be given various assignments and responsibilities, where you will be supported and guided by our PR & Communication chief. Hospitality When you organize an event, it also means that you have to manage a lot of people. Where will they spend the night and where can they eat? Everything depends on a good preparation and communication. Your tasks will be for example establishing and maintaining contacts with local hotels and catering establishments, communicating with local and international artists and ensuring that they know where they stand and what to expect. You know how to make and monitor overviews and you learn all things needed in close collaboration with the departments involved. We also expect a good amount of proactiveness and self-management. Production In the production of LUNA you mainly assist in the smaller productions and you support the volunteer coordinator before and during the festival. You consult a lot, look at what is needed and you are responsible for the productional aspects with the team. You are enterprising, stress resistant and know how to ask for help when needed. Together with your team you'll make sure the productions are a success! Technics Whether it concerns light or sound technology: you know what to do with it! You are an essential part of our technical champions, you think along in sometimes complex technical issues and you help, among other things, in the construction and dismantling of media artworks and installations.
