This is why you want to join us as Intern - Breeding Cucumber at Enza Zaden Cucumber Breeding Programs rely on the evaluation of numerous phenotypic traits throughout the crop cycle to support selection decisions. However, some traits may be strongly correlated, meaning that certain measurements could provide overlapping information. A better understanding of these relationships offers an opportunity to streamline phenotyping protocols. In parallel, optimizing the timing and frequency of trait evaluation could reduce labor while maintaining robust and reliable data for decision-making.
