Wat ga je doen? As Head of Engineering, you will play a key role within an international player in renewable energy. The organization develops, builds, and optimizes large-scale solar PV and battery storage projects. You will ensure that the technical foundation is solid: from design and grid connection to buildability, safety, compliance, and the long-term performance of the assets. You will be responsible for the engineering strategy and the technical quality of projects in development, realization, and delivery. In doing so, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and work closely with development, procurement, construction, commissioning, O&M, and senior management. You are the person who translates technical complexity into clear decisions, feasible solutions, and robust project standards. Specifically, this means that you will: - Define the technical direction and engineering standards for large-scale solar PV and battery storage projects, with a focus on safety, compliance, performance, and scalability. - Lead and further professionalize a multidisciplinary engineering team, including disciplines such as electrical, civil, mechanical, grid, CAD, document control, and control systems. - Act as the technical bridge between development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and O&M, ensuring that projects are not only well designed, but also realized efficiently, safely, and in a future-proof way. This is a role for someone who looks beyond engineering alone. You understand that technical decisions have a direct impact on planning, returns, risk, safety, and the future performance of an asset.
