Functiebeschrijving
Are you a skilled all-rounder who thrives in a hands-on technical environment?
No two days are the same: one moment you're fixing a hoist crane, the next you're checking whether all the tools are still in working order. As GSE/Facilities Employee, you're responsible for all Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and tools in and around the building.
GSE stands for Ground Service Equipment: all the equipment used on the ground to maintain, load/unload, and prepare an aircraft, such as hoist cranes, platforms, tow/pushback vehicles, and ground power units. You carry out small repairs yourself, and arrange for anything bigger to be outsourced. You work systematically, but improvise when needed; the goal is to prevent breakdowns rather than fix them after the fact. You make sure the rest of the team can always count on sharp tools and working equipment.
- You're a handy all-rounder: fixing, tinkering, solving; you don't mind figuring things out yourself
- You work independently, take a practical approach, and don't wait to be told what to do
- You have an eye for detail: you often spot a problem before it becomes one
- Experience as a handyman, all-round technical employee, mechanic, or facilities employee is a plus, but an affinity for technology and tools matters just as much
