SDK consists of Esdeka Holding B.V., SDK DieselSupport B.V. and SDK Engineering B.V. Based in Werkendam, the Netherlands, we provide innovative solutions for the maritime, industrial and mobile sectors.
SDK DieselSupport specializes in maintenance, overhauls and servicing of diesel engines and propulsion systems. SDK Engineering designs and delivers tailor-made hybrid and fully electric drive systems. As our organization continues to grow and professionalize, we are looking for a Financial Controller to strengthen our finance team.
Your role
As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of our organization. Together with two colleagues, you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate financial administration and providing management with valuable financial insights.
You will work closely with the Financial Director, colleagues across different departments and our external accountant. This is a position with a high degree of independence, offering plenty of opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the further development of our organization.
What will you do?
Daily financial management
•
Manage the company's financial administration.
•
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
•
Process and verify purchase invoices, sales invoices and bank transactions.
•
Monitor payment terms and cash flow.
•
Manage insurance policies, fleet administration and financial master data.
•
Maintain time registration, inventory administration and production administration.
Reporting & analysis
•
Prepare monthly, quarterly and management reports.
•
Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning.
•
Analyze project results and identify deviations.
•
Report on production performance, order backlog and financial progress.
Tax & year-end closing
•
Prepare and review VAT returns.
•
Support tax filings and statutory reporting.
•
Assist with the annual financial statements and external audits.
Process improvement
•
Improve and optimize financial processes and internal controls.
•
Maintain and further develop our ERP system (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage).
•
Perform weekly and monthly financial control activities.
Who are you?
You are an accurate, analytical and proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership. You have a structured way of working and like helping the organization make informed decisions based on reliable financial information.
You bring:
•
HBO (Bachelor's) level education or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics.
•
At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
•
Experience in financial administration and reporting.
•
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is considered an advantage.
•
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
•
Excellent communication skills.
•
A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement mentality.
