In an environment where technology and reliability are so important, strong maintenance plays a direct role in the continuity of our processes. As a Maintenance Engineer, you ensure that our test setups and technical facilities remain reliable and perform optimally. You ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our test equipment, such as automated test equipment, device handlers and wafer probers used in engineering and production processes. You carry out preventive maintenance, calibrate and repair equipment, install new machines and support engineers and operators where needed. Good planning and prioritization are essential, as you work closely with the production test team and test technicians. Experience with PICs, photonics or optical test environments is a plus, but not a requirement. In this role, the focus is on maintaining, improving and keeping our technical test environment operational. What you will be doing in your role • Set up and validate test strategies and methodologies and document this in an Electrical Test Specification (ETS); • Together with a PCB engineer, create hardware schematics for the interface between the ATE and the chip; • Develop turnkey, chip-specific test solutions to run on the ATE for testing ICs in production; • When requested, characterize the chip according to specifications and report the results; • Validate the whole test solution and report the results (GR&R); • Responsible for planning and report project progress to the Project Manager; • Support colleagues within the engineering team. Job requirements What do we ask of you • You have HBO-level education with experience or a clear affinity with mechanics and electronics, for example, from a Mechatronics education; • You are reliable, achieve goals, keep agreements, and take responsibility for your work; • You adapt quickly to new situations and embrace changes; • You have a strong problem-solving ability, use your knowledge effectively, and ask for help in a timely manner when needed; • You remain calm under pressure and maintain an overview; • You are communicatively skilled, proactive, and show initiative; • You master both the English and Dutch language well, verbally and in writing; • You reside in the Netherlands and have a maximum of one hour travel time to our office in Zwolle; • If you are not a Dutch or EU citizen, you already have a valid Dutch work visa.
