Embedded Systems & R&D Engineer - Unmanned Vehicles Zwolle Area Full-time: 40 hours per week Medior / Senior About this job We are currently looking for a Embedded Systems & R&D Engineer to join the team in the Zwolle Area . Do you want to contribute to our safety? As an Embedded Systems & R&D Engineer, you will be focusing on Unmanned Systems, working on advanced systems such as drones and specialized technical equipment all the way through the project - from concept and prototype to tested and integrated solutions. You will contribute on the embedded software development and system integration, in close collaboration with hardware and R&D Engineers. Hands-on testing and debugging are part of the role, with a strong emphasis on development, innovation and system reliability rather than service or maintenance work. Please note that this job is fully on-site. Embedded Systems & R&D Engineer Main responsibilities - You will develop and maintain embedded software, mainly C/C++, eventually Python. - You will work with microcontrollers and embedded hardware at a system level. - You will integrate, test and debug hardware and software systems. - You will contribute to R&D projects, prototypes and technical improvements. - You will support technical analysis and problem-solving. - You will document designs, tests and technical solutions. Requirements - You have an academic degree (BSc or MSc) in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant domain. - You have experience with embedded software development in C/C++. - You have basic knowledge of electronics and the interaction hardware-software. - You are analytical, precise and solution-oriented. - You are eager to work within the high-tech industry, in defence or drone-related systems. - You are proficient in English.
