For an exciting opportunity with a major player in the logistics sector, we at IBS are looking for a Data Scientist who enjoys bridging the gap between data science, data engineering, AI, and business challenges. You'll be working in a multidisciplinary team with developers, a data engineer/scientist, a tester, a designer, and a product owner. It's a tight-knit team with a strong "can-do" attitude, where communication is direct and where tangible results matter more than grand plans without action. What makes this assignment interesting? You will work on existing and new models, procedures, and ETL processes. You will contribute ideas on data quality, monitoring, database processes, and the further implementation of AI and data science within a complex operational environment. You will do this by taking the lead and providing guidance based on your area of expertise. We're looking for someone who gets energized by: - Developing, maintaining, and improving models and algorithms - Automating and Optimizing Database Processes - Setting up monitoring for outliers, model drift, and data drift - Translating business questions into concrete data solutions - Working in an Agile/Scrum team with a pragmatic approach - Developing solutions that are technically sound, but above all, work in practice In terms of the tech stack, experience with Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels, Random Forests, XGBoost, Power BI, Oracle/PL-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, among others, is relevant.
