Data Engineer

Join our client's dynamic Digital Business Systems unit as a Data Engineer in the vicinity of Rotterdam. You will play a key role in driving innovation in the maritime industry. Developing data pipelines and working closely with the Data Science and Digital teams to transform data into actionable insights. Tasks - Develop data pipelines for advanced data analytics solutions; - Create data pipelines to deliver services to customers; - Maintain existing data pipelines; - Co-author the IT infrastructure for cloud-based solutions; - Design data schemas; - Collaborate and share knowledge with the Digital team and the broader organization. Job requirements - Experience in an agile software development environment; at least 5 years of experience in the same function - Proficiency in Python, SQL Databases (PostgreSQL), and Azure Functions; - Familiarity with ETL processes, Data Processing Frameworks, and Data Visualization tools such as Microsoft Azure and Grafana; - Experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions; - Nice to have: Experience with cloud development, API management, Azure Storage, and Azure IoT. - NOTE: We can't accommodate a work visa on this position.
