Do you enjoy working with your hands and with different materials?
Composite material is made up of multiple materials bonded or laminated together. Think panels, interior parts, and structural aircraft components. As a Composite Shop Worker, you'll repair and maintain these parts. You're comfortable working with a range of materials: composite, plastic, metal, and interior materials. You carry out repairs according to fixed technical specifications and work instructions, working precisely with professional tools in a hangar or workshop environment. You'll also identify and resolve damage to interior and composite components, a role that combines the best of sheet metal work and interior work.
- You have experience working with different materials, or a relevant technical education (e.g. in sheet metal work, composites, or interior construction)
- You have a precise, careful way of working
- You're willing to (further) build your technical expertise
- You speak good English (technical drawings are all in English)
- You're comfortable working with computers; administration is also part of the job
- You're willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends (on average once every 4 weeks - after 8 months from starting)
- Experience in car body repair, automotive interiors, or manufacturing work involving composite/plastic materials is a plus
