Communications internship
Part-time ● On-location
We are looking for an intern who can support our Communications team, strengthen the Fund's communications impact through enhanced social media engagement, preparation for Awards announcements and events, donor communications support, and storytelling.
Tasks
•
Coming up with creative and exciting content for our social media channels and newsletters;
•
Assisting the team with upcoming Awards announcements;
•
Improve social media engagement, consistency, and creativity across platforms;
•
Closely monitoring social media channels and following Dutch and International news and social media;
•
Assist with data collection for reports, projects and campaigns, and support organizational learning through Monitoring, Learning & Evaluation;
•
Support donor stewardship and fundraising campaign execution;
•
Support the Fund's in production of its public events;
•
Make our work's impact tangible through writing compelling impact stories.
Qualities and qualifications we're looking for
•
Fluent English - excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required;
•
Pursuing a degree in communications/journalism, marketing or related field preferred;
•
Experience with social media and content creation;
•
Experience in newsletter platforms, such as Mailchimp, and data analytics, such as Google Analytics, is a plus;
•
Efficient, quick, resourceful, pro-active, self-motivated, stress-resistant and able to work with a team in a fast-paced environment;
•
Excellent organisational skills and detail-oriented;
•
Affinity to arts, culture and social justice issues.

The Communications intern will gain extensive knowledge about the Fund's network of outstanding artists, thinkers, cultural organisations and collaborators, which offers great networking opportunities. The Communications department offers a supportive, interactive team environment that allows interns to learn about multiple aspects of the Fund.
Duration and compensation
We are looking for an intern starting from August 2026, preferably for 6 months and for (at least) 3 days a week. The Prince Claus Fund provides an allowance of €500,-- gross per month based on a 32-hour internship. The allowance is based on the amount of working hours, hence fewer working hours will translate into a lower allowance.
Only currently enrolled students are able to apply. If you are not a student but would like to be involved in the work of the Fund, you can also apply to be a volunteer. Volunteers receive a maximum net amount of €190,-- per month.
